Now that the first gate is open, head there and create a new portal so the laser goes through the present cube once again, thus opening the second gate. It’s important that it’s done out of order like this, because the moment the present cube is rearranged, the future one will vanish. Create a new portal in the area underneath the laser gates and use the future cube to redirect the laser into the reticle with the number one dice block. This will disable the second laser gate, but what about the first? Another laser cube is needed, so head to the future and grab the future version of the same cube and bring it back to the present. Then, use the cube to redirect the laser into the reticle next to the symbol with the two dice. Fire a new portal into the portal surface near the ceiling where the laser is firing and then another one on the surface right of the stairs. This special cube can redirect thermal discouragement beams or the red lasers. It is a very satisfying ending and has a "wow" factor when you see the Aperture building in ruin Portal stories mel has one single ending, where you save the facility and escape after saying goodbye to Virgil. Reloaded used the same humor as portal1 with the whole "absolutely no care for safety" it works nicely Portal stories mel tried to capture the funny lines of cave, and didn't do well. It commonly introduces new things you have to use to solve the puzzle without using it in an easier puzzle before Reloaded has unclear messy puzzles sometimes. The cube swapping should have been introduced better aswell Portal stories Mel's puzzles have pretty hard to see solutions, and when you get them you have a very small "aha" moment. Reloaded has a decent difficulty curve that starts well and basically skyrockets Portal stories mel has very difficult puzzles, the difficulty curve is basically non existent It feels more like test music, but is just very quiet and hard to notice Reloaded has mostly remixes of Portal2 music, and it's ost is just kinda background. They are all relatively unique and are pretty great to just listen to.

Portal stories mel has a great story with all new characters that have different personalities, and has the drive to keep you going so you can figure out what happens next. Reloaded features way too thick panels, strangely positioned tiles, and for some reason uses the wrong sizes of tiles on walls but scaled up? They managed to capture the way valve did it but make it 10x better. It has more realistic overgrown showing abandoned offices and halls through the collapsed walls, it has great lighting, and the old Aperture theme is absolutely incredible. Portal stories mel features incredible visuals (which I believe to be better than portal2).
